REIKI and MEDITATION THE PEACEFUL WAY TO RELAXATION AND WELLNESS
Reiki, pronounced (Ray-kee), is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's wisdom or the higher power" and Ki which is "life force energy." So, Reiki, which actually translates to "spiritually-guided, life force energy," is used to balance the body, mind and spirit and can provide a sense of deep relaxation, reduce stress, facilitate the relief of pain and assist the body in releasing toxins.
Reiki complements traditional medicine or treatments and can enhance the effectiveness of these methods without interference. Reiki is administered through the hands of a Reiki practitioner with the client fully clothed on a massage table. A session usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
Kristine Reissig, a certified Holy Fire Reiki Master Practitioner, Reiki Teacher and Meditation Mentor, has worked in the field for seven years. She established Satsanga Serenity in 2014. The name Satsanga Serenity loosely translates to: SAT means truth, SANGA means community or gathering and SERENITY, which means a state of being, calm, peaceful and untroubled.
“My goal is to bring people together for the purpose of healing, to share my experiences and demonstrate the benefits of Reiki therapy and daily Meditation practices.”
“I made the commitment to expand my Reiki practice by adding a Guided Meditation component to assist in overall healing. To that effort, I attended Global Meditation Events, Mind-Body-Wellness workshops, at the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA, entitled “Seduction of Spirit.” and "Journey into Healing"
Chopra Center is owned and operated by the internationally known Deepak Chopra,
M.D. and is founded on three pillars of timeless wisdom: Meditation, Ayurveda and
Yoga. Under the guidance of Dr. Chopra and his team, I practiced Primordial
Sound Meditation, the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga and the Seven Laws of
Spiritual Success in 2014. I returned to the Chopra Center in 2015 to attend a
second signature immersion workshop about the integration of modern Western medicine with Eastern healing arts, teaching
us how to assist our bodies in healing themselves. To further my knowledge of meditation, I recently completed a 6-hour course entitled "Meditation" through the Institute for Brain Potential. This program focused on understanding various forms of meditation from ancient healing traditions of the East to contemporary Western practices.
